Radical Radiation

Radical Radiation is a practical hour long workshop for year 9 and 10 students. The workshop covers GCSE specification radiation theory and includes several hands on experiments for the students to try. The students will have the chance to use Geiger counters to measure the radiation from naturally occurring radioactive rocks, see a cloud chamber in action and investigate half lives using dice.

This workshop will be delivered by SEPnet. SEPnet is a consortium of six partner universities working together to advance and sustain Physics as a strategically important subject for the UK economy and its science base in the South East Region of England.
