Andrew Lockley is the Co-ordinator of Milton Keynes Friends of the Earth. He has been an active environmental campaigner for many years and is also involved in the Campaign Against Climate Change (CCC). The CCC achieved world-wide coverage for their protests against George Bush on his visit to the UK. Within the Milton Keynes area, the Friends of the Earth group is influential, holding positions on committees involved with everything from waste to transport. Andrew has personally represented the group on numerous Examinations in Public into regional policy, as well as planning meetings and inquiries into more local concerns such as the incinerator previously proposed for Bletchley and the Center Parcs development.

Professionally Andrew is a property trader and landlord, and thus he takes a keen interest in the financial and technical aspects of building energy efficiency. He holds a Masters in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
