Dr David Sharp is a Senior Lecturer in Acoustics from the Open University's Faculty of Technology. When not working in the lab or writing, David regularly delivers interactive talks on sound, at schools in the Milton Keynes area. He has also recently appeared on two programmes of the BBC Coast series where he investigated the effectiveness of sound mirrors as an early warning detection system and demonstrated why foghorns produce low pitched sounds.
