DrJontiHornerBioImageDr Jonti Horner

Dr. Jonti Horner was born in 1978 and by the age of five was already fascinated by astronomy, thanks to the influence of "The Sky at Night". An active member of amateur astronomy societies since the age of six, he studied an MSc in Physics and Astronomy at Durham University, before doing a DPhil on "The Behaviour of Small Bodies in the Outer Solar System" at Oxford University. Thereafter, he worked at the University of Bern in Switzerland for three years, before returning to the sunny and verdant climes of the UK in 2006. He will be giving a brief tour of some of the more interesting sights in the July night sky, to prepare you all for the observing extravaganza which will follow.
