DrVenkatSastryDr. Venkat Sastry

Dr. Venkat Sastry has obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. After a couple of post-doctoral appointments at the Open University and Plymouth Polytechnic, working on propagation of acoustic waves over ground surfaces and underwater, he joined the Royal Military College of Science, Cranfield University, where he currently teaches mathematics and computing related topics on several postgraduate courses. His current interests include gesture recognition, applied artificial intelligence and online assessment of mathematics and graphical user interfaces for numerical software. During his spare time he likes to dabble in the history of mathematics.
