Jane has practiced in the UK as qualified town planner for over 25 years. The  earlier part of her career was spent in Local Government working for a number of Central London Boroughs including Camden, Westminster and Kensington, and Chelsea. In 1992 Jane changed direction from Central London to take up a post in Milton Keynes with the Commission for New Towns (CNT). In 1999, following the merger of CNT with English Partnerships, she took up the post of Director of Planning and Technical Services. In 2004 Jane took up a new role focusing specifically on the Milton Keynes growth area and is now responsible for delivering sustainable growth in Milton Keynes.
