SusanConwayBioImageSusan Conway

Susan Conway is a research student at the Earth Science Department at the Open University.

Susan is looking for water on Mars, by using satellite data to compare the landscape on Mars to Earth and by running experiments under Martian conditions. "It's really exciting to get the opportunity to study another planet and you never know, I might be the person that discovers life on Mars!"

She is involved in outreach projects for the Open University, taking rocks, fossils and microscopes into schools, teaching kids how the Earth works through hands on activities. She will be sharing her rocks at the Milton Keynes Science Festival as well as other hands on demonstrations, such as an exploding volcano and rock races.
